Welcome our newest #HMBLaw Miami Partner, Karina Cerda-Collazo.
Karina M. Cerda-Collazo is a partner in the firm’s Miami office. Ms. Cerda-Collazo is an experienced civil litigator in both state and federal court. For over a decade, Ms. Cerda-Collazo has represented cruise lines, domestic and international underwriters, vessel owners and operators. She focuses her practice in the area of admiralty and maritime law, including defense of personal injury and wrongful death claims and limitation of liability actions. From 2011 through 2015, Ms. Cerda-Collazo has continuously been named a Rising Star in the Florida Super Lawyers Publication.
Prior to pursuing her law degree, Ms. Cerda-Collazo worked as an International Business Executive and marketing professional in the healthcare industry. Her direct interaction with physicians and other medical professionals developed Ms. Cerda-Collazo’s keen eye and knowledge of medical issues. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, graduating summa cum laude. Ms. Cerda-Collazo is also a graduate of Florida International University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Double Major in Marketing and International Business. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
