HM&B Miami Welcomes New Partner

HM&B is excited to welcome our new Partner, James (Jim) Carlson, to the Miami office.  Jim comes to us after a successful 29-year career in the Coast Guard.  He most recently served as Regional General Counsel for the Seventh Coast Guard District in Miami.  In this role he was senior counsel in a 4,500+ member organization that operated on the waters off the southeastern United States and throughout the entire Caribbean Sea.    He also served as a Special Advisor for National Security to the Vice President of the United States, and was Chief of the Law Faculty at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.  Jim also has substantial seagoing experience, which included command.  He is a great addition to our maritime and regulatory practice areas.
