Vanessa Pello is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. She is a trial attorney having close to two decades of vast experience. She currently focuses her practice on workers’ compensation. Vanessa is known for her tenacity and effectiveness in defending claims.

Vanessa started her career as an associate to a regional law firm representing national lenders and servicers and taking on complex civil litigation cases in the areas of bankruptcy, title claims, financial services and consumer lending practices. She has handled title disputes, city code violations and compliance, condominium and homeowner association estoppel issues. Vanessa also practiced Defense Base Act matters for several years representing insurance carriers and their third party administrators in claims filed by both American and foreign employees.

Prior to joining HM&B, Vanessa practiced in the area of workers’ compensation for eight years.

Vanessa received her B.S. from Florida International University and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She is very involved in her community and has been a dedicated volunteer and mentor in her local Take Stock in Children organization.
