Tyler Tanner is a Partner with the firm and a trial lawyer. He is Board Certified in Admiralty & Maritime Law by the Florida Bar, and practices exclusively in this arena. He is particularly skilled at handling passenger and crew claims, vessel collisions, products liability matters, cargo claims, marine insurance, salvage, and the enforcement of maritime liens.

Mr. Tanner finds professional service outside of the law firm environment rewarding, so he does that also. He is an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University College of Law where he teaches Admiralty Law. He also serves in leadership roles for several industry organizations, including the Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and the Florida Bar Admiralty Law Committee, that latter of which included two years as Chair.

Mr. Tanner’s active practice and service has led to some recognition, including regular speaking engagements, writing invitations, and inclusion within publications highlighting legal talent such as Best Lawyers, Attorney at Law Magazine, and ten consecutive years by Super Lawyers Magazine in Transportation & Maritime Law.

Mr. Tanner earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, he earned Honors in the highly acclaimed Litigation Skills Program, was a member of the International Moot Court Board, and served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Shelby Highsmith at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
