Patricia Cassells is a partner in the firm’s Miami office. She is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on civil litigation, third party insurance defense, premises liability, automobile negligence, property and casualty matters, and general liability defense. Patricia brings more than 25 years of diverse experience to her defense practice and is known for her ability to move complex matters towards efficient and favorable conclusions.

Before joining Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, Patricia served as staff counsel for an insurance carrier where she defended high-exposure bodily injury, uninsured motorist, personal injury protection, property damage, and general liability matters. She leverages this extensive trial background to provide early case assessment, and tailored defense strategies.

Patricia is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.  Her formal mediation training enhances her ability to evaluate cases from both a litigation and resolution-focused perspective.
