As a civil litigator with over 8 years of experience, Ivan has helped bring multiple cases to resolution in the South Florida Courts. He focuses his practice primarily on Personal Injury Protection and Insurance Defense. Specifically, Ivan specializes in the defense of Bodily Injury, Auto Liability, Contractual Disputes, Collections and PIP cases and fraud related cases as well as cases involving himself in Special Investigation matters. In addition, Ivan has also done insurance claims in the areas of glass litigation, property damage and subrogation of claims. Further, Ivan started his career in the areas of Immigration, Criminal Defense and Family law including paternity actions.
Ivan also assists the special investigation units for auto insurance companies by securing Examination Under Oath testimony from claimants with questionable claims or claims operating under Reservation of Rights. Ivan has experience in taking expert witness depositions, arguing substantive, dispositive motions such as Motions for Summary Judgment or Motions to Dismiss for Upon the Court. Ivan has also conducted trial in other area coming from a criminal and immigration background before joining counsel for insurance defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Ivan served as a senior level attorney for an in-house counsel office of a national insurance company. He has also tendered his services to multiple insurance companies in the past like Liberty Mutual, USAA, Mendota, Kemper, Infinity, Sentry, Peak Property and State Farm. Ivan has assisted in bodily injury cases and global settlement conferences in that area. The experience he gained as a litigation attorney served as the foundation for the success he has enjoyed in the civil litigation arena.
