Matthew J. Colgrove is an partner in the Firm’s Workers’ Compensation Department in the Orlando office. Matthew is a seasoned litigator who uses his strong advocate skills to help his clients achieve satisfactory settlements and resolutions.

Before joining HM&B, Matthew worked for a large law firm where he specialized in Workers’ Compensation defense. Matthew graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. He graduated cum laude from Florida A&M University College of Law. While at FAMU, he was on the Dean’s List and was an editor for the FAMU Law Review, where he published the note “Will the Internet Have a Fast Lane? Verizon v. FCC and the Future of Net Neutrality.”

After graduating from law school, Matthew represented survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking at SafeHouse of Seminole. Prior to law school, he spent 10 years as a teacher and digital learning specialist with Seminole County Public Schools.

He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts.
