Audra Bryant is a partner in the Firm’s Tallahassee office.  Audra is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on insurance coverage and litigation. With over 17 years of experience, Audra has litigated a wide array of matters including wrongful death, trucking, automobile negligence, UM/UIM claims, premises liability, employment law, construction defect, legal malpractice, liquor liability and negligent security.  She is known for her vigorous advocacy on behalf of clients.

Before joining HM&B, Audra worked for the State of Florida securing the safety of abused, abandoned and neglected children.  While there, she successfully tried numerous dependency and termination of parental rights cases. Later, Audra served the community as an attorney ad litem advocating for dependent children in the foster care system.

Experience

  • Obtained a defense verdict in a premises liability case wherein the Plaintiff claimed to trip and fall on an oily substance on the floor where the store had no notice of a purported dangerous condition.   No. 2018-CA-629 Leon County, Florida.
  • Obtained an order granting summary judgment in an employment discrimination case wherein the Plaintiff claimed that she was discriminated against on the basis of her sex as the Defendant was not her employer and did not receive notice of the alleged discriminatory acts.   No. 2014 CA 001477 Escambia County, Florida.                                     
  • Obtained an order granting summary judgment in a FMLA violation case where the Plaintiff claimed that he was terminated in retaliation for using FMLA leave, based upon significant evidence that the Plaintiff was terminated for legitimate business reasons including his poor work performance. No. 1:17-cv-255 U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida.
