William F. Clair is an experienced state and federal court litigator. He is rated AV Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest peer review rating possible. He has successfully defended many cruise line personal injury cases that have involved sexual assaults, hurricanes, infectious diseases, tender operations, and a wide range of on-board accidents. His experience is not limited to the courtroom as Mr. Clair routinely handles on-board investigations and interviews. Mr. Clair’s experience as a restaurant owner in New York provides him with a unique perspective on the business of his clients in the restaurant industry and the hotel department of his cruise line clients. He is also highly experienced in defending premises liability suits in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and New York courts, as well as all Florida courts.

Mr. Clair was previously a civil county prosecutor in Suffolk County at the County Attorney’s office. He also has experience in drafting legislation as he was assistant counsel to the Suffolk County Legislature. Mr. Clair has been an active faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy instructing both law students and attorneys on the art of advocacy during discovery, depositions, jury selection, and trial.
