Prior to joining Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, Jose managed high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced litigation environment, handling dozens of active matters at any given time from pre-suit through trial. He successfully negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of his clients, leveraging strategic case development and motion practice to maximize recovery and mitigate risk. He also trained and mentored junior attorneys, supervised staff and led internal case management efforts to ensure efficiency and consistency across matters.

Jose earned his B.A. at Florida International University and his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, he served as a student attorney in the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, representing clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and advocating for vulnerable populations, including unaccompanied minors.

Jose is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar and is fluent in Spanish.
