Yolanda Bruce is an associate at the firm’s Orlando office. She is a trial attorney who concentrates her practice on workers’ compensation and labor and employment. Yolanda is an experienced advocate with over 15 years of litigation experience. She is known for her tenacity and effectiveness in defending claims.
Yolanda began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. The experience as a prosecutor provided her with a strong framework as a trial lawyer. She also served as senior trial attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families, litigating dependency cases involving abuse and neglect. Yolanda also has 10 years of experience as an attorney for the federal government. Prior to joining Hamilton, Miller, & Birthisel, Yolanda defended a federal agency against lawsuits involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, and whistleblower violations.
Yolanda graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She received her Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M University, College of Law.
