Duane Henry is an associate in the firm’s Orlando office. He is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice in the areas of premises liability, personal injury, and complex commercial litigation, in both Florida and federal courts. Duane’s work ethic and tenacity have made him well suited to his areas of specialty.
Before joining Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, Duane served as an Assistant State Attorney with the 9th Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Orlando, Florida and the 13th Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Tampa, Florida. With hands-on trial experience, Duane has tried over 10 cases to verdict, securing guilty verdicts for various misdemeanor and felony level offenses. Additionally, Duane has represented insurance companies and other commercial clients in a variety of litigation matters, including general liability, premises liability, and automobile negligence claims.
Duane earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Buffalo State College, majoring in Criminal Justice. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University, College of Law.
Duane is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and The George C. Young American Inns of Court. The latter is an invitation only organization for attorneys which focuses on their members’ mastering effective practices in five core competencies of legal practice.
