Afshein “Ash” Ghezelbash is an associate in the firm’s Tampa office. Ash is a trial lawyer who focuses on a variety of areas in civil defense, including automobile and trucking liability, professional liability, products liability, premises liability and general insurance defense litigation. Ash is a skilled litigator, well known for his tenacity and effectiveness in defending claims.
Ash began his career as a criminal defense and family law attorney before shifting his focus to civil defense. Ash brings his extensive courtroom experience, understanding of collateral consequences, and client-centered approach to the clients of Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel.
Ash was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and spent most of his teen years in New Jersey, where he later obtained a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from Kean University. He then attended West Virginia University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree, and was a member of the Lugar Trial Association where he gained extensive training in motion practice and trial skills. He also worked in the Immigration Clinic at West Virginia University College of Law, and attended Georgetown Law in Washington, D.C. during summer sessions. After graduation, Ash relocated to Florida to bring his diverse experiences to clients in the greater Tampa Bay area. He ensures that his clients have a realistic understanding of all their options to resolve their cases allowing them to make an informed defense strategy. Ash is fluent in Farsi, and in his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family.
