HM&B Partner Speaker at Brownsville Middle School in Honor of Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, HM&B partner Derrick Kelly gave an inspirational speech in the courtroom that HM&B built and to the students of the law academy our firm started at Brownsville Middle School. He shared his personal story of becoming a lawyer and the obstacles and detours of that journey. He spoke about the origins of HM&B and the historical figures of color who helped shape and continue to mold our society. “I encourage them to remember that a dream deferred may be a dream delayed, but not a dream denied.” – Derrick Kelly
