Rossanna Hernandez Mitchell is an associate at the firm’s Tampa office. Rossanna is a trial attorney who focuses on the areas of civil litigation and insurance defense. She is a skilled and zealous advocate for her clients.

Prior to joining Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, Rossanna was an Assistant Public Defender in the 17th Judicial Circuit for Broward County, Florida, where she managed a high-volume caseload, delivered multiple not-guilty verdicts, and was honored with The Triple Crown Award for obtaining more than three consecutive not- guilty verdicts in one year.

Rossanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs from Georgia State University, where she graduated Cum Laude. Rossanna earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review. Rossanna is originally from San Andres, Colombia and is fluent in Spanish.
