Thomas Glasson is a partner in the firm’s Miami office. Tom is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice in multiple areas including personal injury, motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death, premises liability, and commercial negligent security. Tom is a skilled litigator known for his zealous advocacy on behalf of his clients and his efficient and effective litigation strategies to meet their goals.

Hailing from generations of judges and lawyers, Tom has known from a young age that his life and career would revolve around the law. For most of his career, he has concentrated on service and support to the insurance and other industries. For seventeen years, he was part of an outstanding firm specializing in insurance defense. He has tried cases for many of the largest insurance companies in the nation with great success. 

Tom attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois where he earned a B.A. in Political Science.  He has worked for two Governors of the state, two US Congressmen and a state senator. With a keen interest in political machinations, lobbying, and the origins of legislation, he later turned his focus to the law. Tom subsequently received his J.D. degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law where he was a research and teaching assistant to the founding dean of the school.

Experienced and effective, Tom is well versed in building/managing teams and developing successful strategies including “innovative and outside the box” analysis of facts in potential cases.

Presentations

  • Tom was licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services to serve as an instructor for purposes of providing Continuing Education (CE) to adjusters in the state of Florida. Tom is not only licensed as an instructor, but he has been certified as a provider/author of presentations, including trending topics such as Fraud/SIU developments which have been approved by the Department for purposes of granting CE credits. Community Involvement

  • When he’s not working, Tom enjoys service to the community in Fort Lauderdale, including volunteering with the Abandoned Pet Rescue organization, and long term volunteering with the Broward Partnership for the Homeless Initiative (BPHI), and the Lambda Center on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, providing service to the LGBT community. Living on the beach allows for great people watching, and most of all, he enjoys travel. 
  • Tom has received “Volunteer of the Year” awards on two occasions from the Broward Partnership for the Homeless Initiative in Ft Lauderdale and was recently presented with the “Ambassador to the Community” award by BPHI at its annual banquet and fundraiser event.
