Jeanette Bellon is a partner in the firm’s Miami office. Jeanette has the rare combination of being both a trial and appellate attorney. She concentrates her practice on litigation support and appeals.  Throughout her legal career, Jeanette has tried cases to verdict in bench trials and jury trials in Florida state court. She has also argued and won numerous cases in Florida’s district courts of appeal and the Florida Supreme Court. Jeanette’s legal experience includes the areas of subrogation, appeals, admiralty, product liability, negligence, breach of contract, construction defect, personal injury and first party property defense. She is well known for her vigorous advocacy on behalf of clients.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jeanette taught filmmaking and had a successful career in television production.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Jeanette earned her B.F.A., summa cum laude, from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh. While in law school, she interned at the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel, representing those who could not afford criminal defense counsel.

  • Obtained millions of dollars in subrogation recovery for a large international insurance company.
  • Defense verdict for well-known Florida restaurant regarding breach of employment contract.
  • Successfully defended condominium associations in breach of declaration actions.
  • Overturned jury verdict based upon the giving of an improper standard jury instruction. Florida Supreme Court affirmed change of standard jury instruction. Dorsett v. State, 147 So. 3d 532 (Fla. 4th DCA 2013), aff’d, 158 So. 3d 557 (Fla. 2015). 
  • Upheld trial court order granting Motion for Summary Judgment. Menendez v. West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital, LLC, 123 So. 3d 1178 (Fla. 3d DCA 2013), rev. denied, 157 So 3d 1046 (Fla. 2014).
  • Overturned trial court order denying Motion to Compel Arbitration. BKD Twenty-One Management Co. v. Delsordo, 127 So.3d 527 (Fla. 4th DCA 2012).
