Nikoleta S. Barr is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. She is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice primarily on workers compensation defense litigation. She also has experience in taxation, healthcare insurance, property insurance, and transactional real estate fields. Nikoleta is a skilled litigator whose ability to quickly analyze and evaluate cases has benefitted clients in allowing them to get expedient and favorable results.

Before joining HM&B, Nikoleta was a defense counsel in workers compensation, obtaining several orders granting dismissal of claims for benefits and summary final orders in litigated workers compensation claims. In addition, Nikoleta has successfully settled numerous claims on behalf of carriers and employers while saving substantial amounts for her clients. Prior to being in the workers compensation field, Nikoleta worked in the healthcare insurance industry, assisting their systems nationwide with the pre-litigation process and with disputes of high-dollar claims with carriers.

Nikoleta holds a dual bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Queens College of the City University of New York. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School.
