Gina M. Jacobs is a partner at Hamilton, Miller & Birthsel’s Orlando location where she leads the Workers’ Compensation Department for the Firm.  Gina brings years of experience in the practice areas of Workers’ Compensation, personal injury, and restaurant and hospitality and trucking defense. She is certified by the State of Florida’s Department of Financial Services as an instructor for Continuing Education credits for claims adjusters and attorneys.

Prior to joining HM&B, Gina worked as head of the Orlando Workers’ Compensation group at Florida’s largest law firm and Managing Attorney for two Florida offices of a national insurance defense firm. Gina’s experience includes working for over a decade as a claims adjuster for a national insurance carrier and two global third-party administrators. In 2016, Gina was recognized as one of “Florida’s Top 40 under 40 attorneys” by The National Black Lawyers. In 2020, she also had the distinction of being named a rising star by Florida SuperLawyers® Magazine.

Gina graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Public Communications from Florida Atlantic University and received her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, graduating with pro bono honors. At Nova, she held the distinction of being the first runner-up for the Rising Star Scholarship from the Broward County Women Lawyers Association and held the distinguished honor of being the commencement speaker at her law school graduation. A fun fact about Gina is that she produced and hosted weekly radio programs for WLAW Radio while in law school. Presently, Gina is a 2024-2025 OJCC Certified Scholar, and active board members for Women in Work Comp under the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, and The Friends of 440. Gina is a regular speaker at the Florida Annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference on the mediation panel, and other insurance industry organizations on hot topics such as employer workers’ compensation immunity.
