Whittni Hodges Parks is an associate with the firm’s Tampa Office. Whittni attended the University of Florida where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology, with honors. Whittni received her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2011.

While at Stetson, Whittni interned with Court Counsel at the 12th Judicial Circuit where she worked closely with Circuit and County Court Judges drafting orders and researching a variety of legal topics. Whittni also interned with the State Attorney’s Office in Sarasota, Florida as a Certified Legal Intern where she second-chaired a number of trials and participated in evidentiary hearings. As part of her legal education, Whittni studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina and took courses ranging from International Comparative Competition Law to Comparative Privacy Law. Upon graduation from Stetson, she received the William F. Blew Pro Bono Service Award for completing over 200 hours of legal pro bono work throughout her law school career.

Prior to joining Hamilton, Miller, & Birthisel, LLP, Whittni began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the 12th Judicial Circuit where she drafted appeals and tried a variety of criminal cases including DUI, Aggravated Assault, and Reckless Boating.

She is admitted to the Florida Bar and is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Experience and Recognition

  • Complete defense verdict on behalf of one of Florida’s largest homeowners insurers) in first party property damage sinkhole claim, believed to be first defense/insurer verdict in a denied sinkhole claim involving a policy that requires “structural damage,” since the Florida Sinkhole Statutes significantly changed in May 2011.
