Andrew Palma is a complex claims litigator and trial lawyer.  As a native of South Florida, he grew up understanding the norms and the mores of its multicultural community.   He studied air traffic control at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and then followed his passion for the law earning his Juris Doctor from Florida International University School of Law.

Throughout his career Andrew has successfully handled numerous wrongful death and personal injury claims which included traumatic brain injury cases and negligent security cases. Andrew also has deep experience in the areas of labor and employment law, specifically Fair Labor Standards Act, Florida Minimum Wage Act, wage theft, and workers’ compensation claims. Prior to joining Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, he was the division leader at a Florida insurance defense firm where he supervised associates in all manner of complex litigation cases.  Andrew’s no-nonsense approach to litigation has saved his clients millions of dollars in exposure and has resulted in the expeditious and successful resolution of their suits.

Representative Cases

Handled traumatic brain injury case involving developer and multiple contractors, sub-contractors, and sub-sub-contractors pertaining to a worker who fell on a construction site.

Defense of negligent security claim involving a night club patron who was stabbed and sustained significant injuries. Achieved successful result on behalf of the night club.

Defense of national retailer in a product liability and workers’ compensation immunity matter involving a recreational vehicle roll-over requiring multiple reconstructive surgeries for fractures and crush injuries sustained by employee of retailer at a manufacturer sales event. Achieved successful result on behalf of the retailer.
