Jolieann Brooks is a litigator and trial Associate with HMB. She specializes and handles claims in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, premises liability, insurance coverage, and maritime law.
Before moving to Tampa and joining HM&B, Ms. Brooks worked as a litigator in Puerto Rico, handling various tort cases, including but not limited to personal injury and premises liability claims, employment law, tort, and commercial litigation. Prior to obtaining her law degree, she clerked at the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance and interned at U.S. Congress.
Ms. Brooks holds a J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, an LL.B. from the University of Barcelona Faculty of Law, and a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico. While attending law school, Ms. Brooks served as Associate Editor of the Law Review and as Director of the Federal Bar Association’s Student Chapter, and participated in the Labor Law Pro Bono Program and the Federal Criminal Legal Clinic.
